Single Origin, Burundi A roasted coffee, aged in the same barrel used to aged our Bread+Butter XO Brandy.
This barrel first aged Bourbon Whisky for 4 years, then it was filled with a beautiful 10 yr old Cape Pot Still Brandy for 6 months. Then once we emptied all that beautiful liquid from the barrel, we filled it with an amazing roasted single origin coffee and aged it in barrel for 2 weeks.
Over these two weeks the vanilla and toffee notes infused in the oak helped break down the sugars in the coffee beans, forming wonderfully complex notes in the coffee reminiscent of the barrel itself. Please note, this is not a coffee that tastes like Brandy. It is a very unique and delightfully smooth coffee best enjoyed like any other coffee, but this one is so so so much more than that :)
